About
About the campaign
Our purpose
This is a global consumer accountability campaign calling for better treatment, transparency, safety and accountability. We believe consumers are strongest when they act together: a visible, verified count of supporters and a public record of real consumer experiences are far harder to ignore than individual complaints.
What we do
- We maintain a verified supporter count: one verified account equals one supporter vote, enforced at the database level and published live.
- We publish consumer-submitted stories about real experiences, named or anonymous, so other consumers can learn from them.
- We keep everything transparent: our counting method is public, our data collection is minimal, and stories are labeled as personal accounts.
What we are not
- We are not affiliated with Airbnb, Inc.
- We are not a legal evidence platform, a law firm, or a court.
- We do not present submitted stories as independently verified facts.
How this campaign started
Leonard R. reports that he experienced a serious safety and privacy concern during an Airbnb stay in Ontario in May 2026 and subsequently initiated legal proceedings concerning the dispute. That experience raised a question many consumers share: when something goes seriously wrong, what power does an individual consumer actually have?
To keep this campaign fair and accurate, we keep the following clearly separate, and we encourage readers to do the same:
- What an individual reports happened to them
- What documents show
- What a company has stated publicly
- What is alleged in legal proceedings
- What a court has actually determined
A report is not a verdict. Every story on this platform is the account of the person who submitted it, and every story page carries a disclaimer saying exactly that.
